Most motorists making their way along the busy A12 just south of Colchester will have no idea that they are passing within a few hundred yards of one of the most unusual racket sport venues in the county.
Tucked away at the end of a leafy avenue on the outskirts of the village of Feering lies Prested Tennis Club.
Lawn tennis is played here but most members will be found playing the less familiar games of padel, the UK’s fastest growing racket sport, and real tennis, the world’s oldest racket sport.
Prested Tennis Club has introduced hundreds of new players to real tennis since its inception in 1999 and is now doing the same for padel, and it would love to provide the same opportunity to you.
