Fresh from a fabulous evening of music at St Botolph’s in November which saw the band perform better than ever and with the joyous excitement of a return to concert performances, the band are looking forward to their favourite concert of any year – their Christmas Concert.
Having not performed a Christmas Concert for two years, we are thrilled to be returning to the beautiful St Peter ad Vincula Church in Coggeshall on Saturday 18th December at 7:30pm for a concert packed with nothing but the best in Christmas music, from classic Christmas songs such as White Christmas and Sleigh Ride, to Christmas music from Broadway & Films, to modern pop classics from The Pogues & Slade.
There’ll of course be carols to join in with too, so it’s bound to be another Christmas Cracker of a concert. Tickets are available on the door (£6 adults, £5 concessions) with proceeds in aid of the Church’s chosen charity (The Brain Tumour Charity) so we do hope you’ll join us for a wonderful evening.
As well as returning to concert performances, the band have just undertaken their first “Play Day” for two years, and are delighted that the youngsters who took part enjoyed it so much they’ve joined the band.
The band’s audiences always comment at how wonderful it is to see players of all ages, and especially so many youngsters, and it’s this mix of all ages that keeps the band successful after over 40 years.
Don’t worry if you couldn’t make the play day, we always welcome new members of all ages into the band, with our January 2022 rehearsals all being open to anyone to come and try the band.
Everything you need to know about the band and our events can be found on the band website and we look forward to seeing you at our Christmas Concert, and we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
