A FOUNDATION has challenged people to throw themselves out of a plane at 13,000 feet.
The Tom Bowdidge Youth Cancer Foundation, based in West Bergholt, said people will be able to enjoy speeds of more than 120mph.
Nikki Bowdidge, CEO and Founder, said the tandem skydive was creating a lot of excitement with supporters. She said: “Throwing yourself out of a plane is on everyone’s bucket list – it’s the ultimate challenge no matter who you are. But wanting to do it and actually signing up to have a go are two different things.”
Lindsay Hurrell, Fundraising Lead for the Foundation says “Over the past couple of years due to COVID 19 people haven’t been able to take on some of their bucket list challenges, so it’s great that this year we are able to introduce our first every tandem skydive event.
The Foundation has seen a huge demand in support for our services due to the cost-of-living crisis and therefore we are urging people to jump on board and help raise vital funds so that we can continue to give a brighter future to teenagers and young adults living with cancer”.
Those who are interested in taking part just need to be aged 16 or over. There is no upper age limit.
The tandem skydive will take place on Saturday, October 1 at Beccles Airfield.
