Wick Nature Discovery Park is Essex wildlife Trust’s first nature reserve, a gravel works that in 1961 was purchased by the Trust and now it is a haven for wildlife we all know and love. Now, in 2020, Fingringhoe is the first nature reserve to have a beautifully crafted tree of life installed. This beautiful tree is made from copper, with 470 leaves available for personalised sponsorship.
It will be an opportunity for you to celebrate special occasions such as birthdays, marriages, retirements, long service awards, a thank you, Christmas or you may choose to remember a colleague or loved one in memory at this special location. The leaves will come in three colours that will give it a wonderful autumnal feel.
The colour of the leaf also determines the period you wish to the leaf to be placed for: bronze - three years, silver - 5 years, and gold - 7 years. In addition, there will be 30 birds available to sit amongst the tree, which will be which will be on display for 8 years. Each leaf or bird can accommodate a personalise inscription, so over time the leaves and birds will fill the tree and showcase the wonderful messages. All the proceeds from this beautiful tree will help support our conservation work around Essex and could be the perfect gift for both the recipient and your local wildlife.
This opportunity has been made possible thanks to the wonderful fundraising efforts by our volunteers at Brentwood and Billericay Local Group, Chelmsford Local Group, Colchester Local Group and South Woodham Ferrers & Maldon Local Group and we are very grateful for their support of this exciting addition to Fingringhoe Wick Nature Discovery Park.
