To celebrate being back playing together, West Bergholt Concert & Training Band are inviting brass & woodwind players to join us on Saturday November 20th at St Botolph’s for a free “Band Play Day”.
The band’s music for fun ethos will permeate the day, and our experienced players will be on hand to help any first-timers get used to playing in a band.
We’ve got a specially chosen programme of music to suit all abilities, and the day’s “Stage & Screen” theme includes everything from The Muppets to Jurassic Park. Anyone wishing to take part just needs to email Conductor@wbcb.org to reserve a place.
The band is renowned both for its balance of all ages and for the encouragement it has provided to young musicians throughout its 40+ year history, so please come along to help us maintain that balance – 2pm for Training Band (Grades 1-4), 4pm for Concert Band (Grade 4+).
The day culminates in an evening (7:30pm) concert at St Botolph’s in aid of Children In Need, with tickets available on the door (£6 adults, £5 concessions, under 18s free). St Botolph’s is a large venue so there’ll be plenty of room to socially distance.
Shortly after that the band band will be performing their Christmas Concert at St Peter ad Vincula in Coggeshall on Saturday 18th December at 730pm.
Full details of the band and its events are available on the band website or you can contact our conductor or 07941 947541.
